sessed and collected.
Section 4 Any person, firm,
company or corporation prose-

any law or laws of the State of
South Carolina, such shall not af
fect any other word, clause, sen
tence or section thereof.
Section 12. This ordinance shall
be effective from the date of its
passage.

Section 9. The license taxes
herein imposed are levied for the
purpose of raising funds to meet
the ordinary annual expenses of
the City of Clinton for the fiscal
year commencing the 1st day of
January, 1961, and for the jjuiv
pose of paying in whole or in part
legal indebtedness of the said
City incurred for ordinary ex
penses thereof falling due during
the said fiscal year

must be paid on or before March
1, 1961, or penalty of an addi
tional ten (10%) per centum ol
