/ t Thursday, December 8, 1960 THE CLINTON CHRONICLE t - Around Clinton High r •* - By Tircle Davis Last Saturday was significant to the Clinton High School sen iors in that most of them took the College Board Entrance Ex amination that day The score a student makes on this exam is one of the main factors consider ed when a student applies for admission to college. Various colleges have various scores that the applicant must attain before he will be admitted into the par ticular college. These examinations are held at several centers x \ This year the majority of the students from ^ Clinton went to Greenville High School to take the college board exam, while some of them went to Newberry for the same pur pose. The college board examination is divided into several parts. All students are required to take the morning test which was a three- hour scholastic aptitude test. Af ter an hour recess for lunch, those wishing to take any after noon tests reported back to their respective centers. The afternoon tests were varied. One could aake tests on Egnlish Composition, Social Studies, Intermediate or Advanced Math, German, Span ish, French, or Latin. Selection of the tests a student wanted to take depended on the require- * ments of the college he plans to attend. Each afternoon test last ed an hour.
