Sherrill, 3rd, was hostess to members of her bridge dub on Thursday afternoon assem bling players tor three table*. Prettily arranged as a back ground tor the games were a va riety of chrysanthemums. Before the progressions were begun the hortess served a dessert course with coffee. Score awards went to Mrs. Reese H. Young and Mrs. Lynn C. Cooper, Jr., a dub visitor. i ActaeonClub Adds New Members The Actaean Club members were entertained at luncheon by Mrs. C. M. Bailey for the October meeting at her home recently. For the luncheon and business meeting small tables were arrang ed in the receiving rooms for twelve guests. Autumn flowers and leaves were used to carry out a seasonal and harvest motif. The first meeting of the fall sea son was held in September, with Mrs. N. Reese young ,at which time three new members were welcom ed They are: Mrs. H. M. Wise, Mrs. Julian S. Coleman, and Mrs. W. 1^ Marshall, Jr. Mrs. E. H. Hall is club president ard Miss Sallie Wright is secretary. Camp Fire Stamps On Sale On November 1 at Carnegie Hall, Postmaster General Arthur Summerfleld presented the first sheets of Camp Fire Girl* Commem orative Stamps. Depicted in its own red. white and Mae colors, the official Camp Fire Girls insignia is set off by the background "wave*” of lighter bine. The stamps went on sale locally November 2 and pictured is Jean Douglas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Douglas, representing the Clinton Bine Birds, and Cathy Marie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Marse. representing the Clinton Camp Fire girls, buying the first sheet of these commemorative stamps from Post master William D. Adair. These stamps are being presented in ap preciation to T. M. Youngblood, campaign chairman of the Com munity Chest of greater Clinton.—Photo by Dan Yarhorongh.
