Wilson i Dies At Hospital LAURENS — William Joseph Wilson, 64. of Rt. 1, Clinton, died Tuesday afternoon in a Laurens hos pital after several years of doc tin ing health sod an illness of two months. Mr. Wilson wss a native of Spar- tadburg County and a son of the late John Wilson and Mn Ola Harrell Wilson He was a retired textile employe. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myr tle Cagle Wilson; a son, W. J. Wil son Jr. of Clinton; five daughters, Miss Josephine Virginia Wilson and iiJulia Wilson of tho home. Mn. James Harrison and Mn. Noah Scott of Rt. 1. canton, and Mn Paul Cagle of Rt. 2, Launno; a bro ther, Grover Wilson of Mountvillg: n sister. Mn. Lucille Sexton of Spartanburg. • nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The body is.at the home of Mn. Paul Cagle on the Laurens-Clinton Highway. t? VT Kennedy Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Jaycees Conduct Safety Check The Clinton Jaycees held a “Vehicle Safe ty, Check" June 29 on South Broad Street. The Jaycees, assisted by Patrolmen L. R. Sisk and YV. L. Vassey and local law en forcement officers, made the safety checks. A fact-sheet was filled out and given to each motorist. A windshield sticker was al so affixed. * \ The inspection began at l p. m. and con tinued until 6 p. m.
