WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Friends win be interested to know Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Hunnicutt cele brated their 58th wedding anniver sary on Monday, July 4. W. K. WAITS HONORED Retiring after 61 years in textiles, W. K. Waits received an engraved silver bowl from Walter Regnery of Joanna Western Mills Co. and gen eral manager of Joanna Cotton Mills Co. The bowl was presented by members of the Joanna Manu facturers Council at a dinner in his honor in Greenville. Mr. Waits, who worked 27 years at Joanna, came there in 1933 as overseer of spin ning. Since 1944 he has been assist ant overseer. Mrs. Charles Barnes Is recuper ating at home following surgery at General hospital in Spartanburg. Mrs. Ruth Howell was a patient last week at Joanna hospital where she underwent minor surgery. MYF MEET CANCELLED The MYF weakly fellowship meet ing has been cancelled this weak. W. S. C. S. Green Stamp* GIRL SCOUT CAMPING TRIP Mrs. Violet Strand, troop leader, with Jennie Addison and Lunette Frazier, accompanied the girls of Troops 30 and 36 to State Park for an outdoor camping trip.
