Gordon Peery, this week began his ministry as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran con gregation. Mr Peery accepted the congregation's call several months ago before receiving his bachelor of divinity degree from the Southern Seminary on May 18. He, along with several of his classmates, was or dained to the .gospel ministry by the Lutheran Synod of South Carolina following his graduation Reverend Peery is a son of Dr and Mrx. J. C. Peery, missionaries in India. He was born in Guntur, artd high school at Koctiakanal, South India He came to the states in 1953 to enter Newberry College, where he earned his AB degree.
