JOANNA FTA MEETS John E. Willingham gave the in vocation at the April meeting of the Joanna Parent-Teacher Association. The president, Cecil B. Bishop, pre sided over the business session. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Mrs. G. N. Foy, and various reports were given. Mrs. J. N. Floyd, membership chairman, announced that the association now has 116 members. Mr. Bishop gave a resume of the South Carolina Parent-Teacher Con ference held in Charleston April i-5-d-T. ( • The nominating committee pre sented the following officers for the 1960-61 school year—President, Cecil B. Bishop; Vice-President, John E. Willingham; Treasurer, J. B. John son; Secretary, Mrs. Dalene Monts; Historian, Mrs. Jeanette Martin These officers were unanimously elected and will be installed at 'the May meeting. It was announced that the May meeting will be held the third Mon day instead of the fourth Monday because of the dosing of school Open House was held so that par ents could see the rebuilding and im provements rrv&de after the fire in the school in JarStwry. CLUB HOUSE NEWS The Intermediate and Senior .Girl Scouts artd their leaders will go to Camp Fellowship May 6 (tomorrow) for an evening of fun The scouts cookies and during the sc are asked to meet at the chib house at 5:30 and bring a nosebag lunch - They will join other scouts of the Star Fort Council at Camp Fellow ship. On May 7 (Saturday) the Brownie Scouts and leaders will go id the Holloway Place in Greenwood for a pcinic from 10:30 to 12:30.
