W.Abercrombie and Eddie were called to Greenville Monday morning due to the sudden operation illness of their daughter, Mrs. Harold Clardy. Joe Lark, student at Clemson Col lege, spent the Easter week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Lark. BROTHERHOOD MEETS TONIGHT The Brotherhood of the Lydia Bap tist Church will meet Thursday (tonight) at 6:30 p. m. at the church. At 7 o’clock they will go to the county home for a worship ser vice. All men of the church are invited and urged to join the Brotherhood. WOMAN'S CLUB TO MEET TONIGHT The Lydia Woman’s Club will meet Thursday (tonight) for the regular monthly session at 7:30 p. m. in the Community Building, Mrs. Claude Madden of Clinton, will be the guest speaker. She will demonstrate the making of wood fi ber flowers and corsages. Mrs. Mad den will bring some of the many kinds of flowers she has made for the ladies to see. All members are urged to be pres ent. New members and visitors are always welcome. WOMEN TO VISIT ATLANTA Members of the Lydia Woman’s club and their guests will leave from the Community Building ai 5 o’clock Friday afternoon on a chartered bus for Atlanta, Ga. The group will spend Friday night there and will visit several places of interest on Saturday, leaving late in the after noon for home. MRS. SNIDER HONORED ON BIRTHDAY Mrs. Roy Snider was honoree Sun day at her home when a birthday dinner, with Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Poole of Spartanburg as hosts was given. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Jun ior Couch and children of Green ville; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coxe of Spartanburg; Mr .and Mrs. Nolan MlcCravy, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Mc- Cravy and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Bowling and family of Lydia; Mrs. Nell M&lls and Donnie Snider of the home; Mr. and Mrs. Poole and S-Sgt. Harold Snider and A2C Wayne Costoro of Panama City, Fla. The group enjoyed a picnic dinner on the Snider lawn. The table was centered with a beautiful lavender cake with yellow rose decorations. The guests remembered Mrs. Snider with gifts. In the afternoon Mrs. C. W. Chandler and Mrs. Virginia Hazel and children of Joanna, Mrs. Bo Goodman and son of Greenwood, and Mrs. Sara Norris of Silverstreet, visited Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Snider.
