Individual cakes and punch were served by Mrs. Rose Satterfield and Mrs. Bill McLendon. Birthdays and Anniversaries Mrs. J. E. Burkhalter celebrated a birthday October 25. Mr. and Mrs. K. F. Johns celebrat ed their 44th wedding anniversary on October 25. Maxie Sellers has a birthday Oc tober 31. Alvin Satterfield will be 9 years old October 28. Richard Thomas’ birthday is today Mrs. Luke Smith has a birthday October 28. Mrs; Herman Crocker celebrated her birthday October 24. Informal Party Mrs. Jessie Abercrombie, Mrs. S. J. Todd and Mrs. Henry Abercrom bie were hostesses at an informal party Friday evening at the commun ity center. The lounge was attrac tive in a color scheme of gold and green. In the dining room small tables were decorated in arrange ments of fall flowers. A tempting salad course with cof fee was served by the hostesses to the twenty invited guests. Club 16 Meets Club 16 met on Tuesday evening for their regular meeting. Mrs. Ruth Harbin, president, presided over the business session. Plans were made for the club Hal lowe'en party by the program direc tor. Mrs. Daisy Hairston. Refreshmnets were served by the' hostesses. Mrs. Alva Boyce and Mrs. Eunice Conn. I Open House at Kindergarten The members of Club 16 and the Kindergarten mothers were hostesses last Friday evening at open house at the Kindergarten. The rooms were attractive with arrangements of fall flowers. The furnishings are very modern and several new pieces of ! furniture have been added.
