Dick of Raleigh. N. C., by Mr. and Mrs. John \V. Finney, Sr., and Mrs. Wil liam Bailey Owens on Tuesday eve ning at “Happy Acres." A number of friends were invited to call and enjoyed a delightful informal hour. During the evening refreshments of sandwiches, cake, punch and other dainties were served from a lace covered buffet table prettily centered with an arrange ment of pink cut flowers. Elsewhere in rooms zinnias were combined with other flowers for decoration. Two tables were laid for refresh ments and a sweet course was served before the games. Mrs. Hugh Jacobs was presented high score award and 1 Miss Katherine Dicus won cut prize. Mrs. Twitty was remembered with a guest prize. Summer flowers were artistically arranged to form a colorful setting in the card rooms. Thomas Martin Wright Dies At Hospital Here Thomas Martin Wright, 59, died early Monday morning at Blalock clinic following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon in Rock Hill, with Dr. A. B. Hawkes, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Interment was in Laurelwood cemetery in Rock Hill. Mr. Wrigfft was a foreman of con struction for McDevitt, Street and Company of Columbia, was engaged in construction work at the State Training school here when he became ill. Survivors include his wife, three sisters, and a brother, all of Rck Hill.
