Other changes in the 1948-49 bill from the 1947-48 supply bill are as follows: heating and janitor service for health center raised from $1,000 in 1947-48 to $1,600 in 1948-49; medical supplies decreased from $310 to $300; reindexing and improving, indexing system in the 1 office of the clerk of court decreased from $750 to $500; county jail, raised from $6,000 to $7,500; court expenses, rais ed from $8,300 to $10,000; boys 4-H club work, raised from $50 to $75; j girls 4-H club work, raised from $501 to $75; Future Farmers of America, raised from $50 to $75; Future Home Makers, raised from $50 to $75; emer gency relief, raised from $600 to $1,200; auditing county books, de creased from $2,500 to $1,500. New | appropriations contained in the j 1948-49 supply bill are $600 for rent! for A. C. building, and $7J50 for I purchasing of terracing equipment I for the soil conservation department. Appropriations in the 1947-48 bill which were not carried over into tiie new bill were $750 for painting pub lic buildings and $5,000 for perma nent improvements at, the county home. Music Club Meets With Mrs. Coleman * The March meeting orf the Clinton Music club was held Wednesday af ternoon at the home of Mrs. Julian Coleman. Spring flowers attractively adorned the home. Mrs. Robert Black presented a pro gram on “Impressoinism in Modern Music ” The program follows: Paper, “Contributions of Modef.i Composers” — Mrs. George Brocken- brough. _ Piano selections: “Alt Wien” (Go- dowsky); “Terpsichorean Vindobena” (Godow-ikyi^— Mre. Roy Pitts entertained members of the “Idle Moments” club and several additional guests last Wednesday, assembling players for four tables. The tables were arranged for rook in a setting of daffodils and spirea combined with other spring flowers. During the afternoon a salad couse, sandwiches and punch were served, and later.
