MORRIS $ Myers-Johmon % ( Last Sunday at 6 o'clock P. M the wedding Bells of old Marion rang out a merry refrain as Mr. Charlie H. Myers of Dillon and the charming Miss McJlie Johnson of Marion approached the Baptist parsonage where the preacher was in waiting to make two happy hearts beat as one. The solemn eeremony was performed by Rev. Rufus Ford, that made them man and wife- After receiving the pastor's kind benedictions the happy couple returned to the home of the bride's Mother, Mrs. Thomas Johnson. They arrived in Dillon on the 9 P. M. train tho I same night where Mr. and Mrs. Myers will make their future home. The Herald extends best wishes. A negro boy on Mr. Arch McCallum's plantation near Hainer drank a quart of whiskey one night last week and died shortly afterwards. The whiskey it is alleged, was brought from a blind tiger somewhere in the communitv. The boy was not addicted to ^ the liquor habit, but he drank too much of the stuff at one time and it paralyzed the action of the heart.
