METHODISTS RAISE SALARY OF THEIR PASTOR. At the last quarterly conference of the Lexington circuit. M. E. church, South, itw as decided by the board of stewards to raise the salary of the pastor in charge from $1,300 to $1,800. Rev, A. Q* Bice, th? pastor, is now serving his second yeat on the circuit, having been returned here at the last session of the conference, and he is deservedly popular with the members of his congregations. * The conference was held at the parsonage in Lexington, on Wednes* day, December 17. Besides raising the:pastor's salary the conference attended mainly to routine matters pertaining, to the welfare of the circuit. ? ' Mr. J.
