Mr. Jake Prodovsky has an advertisement in the MANNING Thas, and his business has grown to such proportions that he has found his old stand, the iron store, too small for his large stock and in creasing patronage. Realizing the necessi ty of meeting the demands of his people, he has moved into one of the handsome brick stores with plate glass fronts, where he proposes to have a fine display of goods, and make a strong and steady pull for the trade. Mr. Prodovsky is a business man, youngjful of energy, and competition has the effect of making him double his eftorts as is seen by his recent move. For Other Local Matter See Second Page. Last Suday afternoon the people living in the neighborhood of the Baptist church were startled by several reports of a pistol in the house occupied by the family of Mr. Willie Butler, and a few moments later some ene cried fire. Warden Mouzon who lives in the next house rushed out of his house to ascertain the cause of the disturb ance, and found Mr. Butler in a state of liquor frenzy with a pistol in his hand de fying people to approach. Mr. Mouzon took in the situation at a glance and saw that it was useless to rushrupon the man in his frenzied condition, so he summoned help as soon as he could. In the mean time Policeman R. H. Davis arrived and rushed into the house, and dragged from it a burning bed that had caught on fire from Mr. Butler's pistol. As soon as lhe put the fire out he took charge of Mr. Butler and placed him in the guard house where he re mained until night when after sobering up he was allowed to go home nipon payment of a forfeit of ten dollars, CONFIRMED. The Constant Use of the Arm Is Also Felt at this And necessarily weakens this part of the shirt by continual wear. A live concern discovered the op portunity to make an improvement, and has secured a patent on'their Re-Inforced Arm Attachment. They apply a piece of fabric to the inner side of the yoke and sleeve and extend it around the entire arm hole, thus re-inforcing a weak spot, besides making the various thicknesses of material more gradual.
