i H V ????? ?????? ^ IL?.IJ BELOVED WOr.VN PASSES TO THE GREAT BEYOND About 1:30 o'clock Thursday after- ;i noon, February 2'), the spirit of Miss c Fannie Ramage passed to the great :i beyond. This news brings sadness to j the entire community as Miss Ramage S was dearly beloved by hosts of o friends. She lingered on the brink it of eternity for a week or more and u c<cr?siv* hrouL'ht. anxious inquiries from interested friends. v Miss Ram age had reached the ad- J vanced age of 73 years and is surviv- t( ed by only one brother, the Rev. t< Bartow Bee Ramage, who, with his j; wife, arrived several weeks ago from their home in Memphis. Tenn., to be jy at the bedside of his sister. b The funeral services were held Fri day afternoon at three o'clock from Cl the First Baptist, church, the Rev. E. T V. Babb conducting the services, fi Three hymns were sun?, a Resurrec- a tion song by the choir, "Asleep in n: Jesus," and "Abide With Mo." Scripture reading and a prayer of praise for the life of this Christian woman, ^ made up the simple but impressive N scrvice. The interment was held at F the family burying ground about B three miles from town. The pall- A bearers were: Messrs. J. T. Mayes, J. T N. McCaughrin, F. X. Martin, W. F. Evrart, J. M. Johnstone, I. H. Hunt It j T> QR ana n. o. TV ituatc, oi. Masses of beautiful blossoms cov- T ered the mound of this sainted worn- * an?mute testimonials of love and devotion from many friends. ^ Prof, and Mrs. Burr H. Johnstone 1 f of Clemson College who formerly ^ had been neighbors of Miss Ramage, vrere present at the funeral of their T friend. ^ Miss Ramage was a faithful mem- ,(ber of the First Baptist church of ,p Newberry, being a regular attendant at all the church services and taking ~ " Si an active part in the Sunday school ^ md in the mission work of the church. ^ Her religion was not one of theory alone, but of practical Christianity. A The noble qualities in the character ^ of this lovely Christian woman can not be measured by mere words. The daily acts of kindness which she performed?the years of usefulness which she lived?will be unto hor a p, living: memorial. Her life was a ben- w ediction to all who knew her. It is hard to realize that "Miss w Fannie" has gone. It seems such a short while since she met and minsrled a witft inencs ana strangers?v.mi friendly clasp of the hand and a ci cheery smile. The sunshine from her b( beautiful life radiated upon all those rn with whom she came in contact and 0( she made life seem the more worth bi living. ^ j us Yet in her death, there is a sweet- hi ness in the sadness?a joy in the sorrow?because for her there can only bl be joy in the hereafter?the fulnll- b< ment of the glorious promises of th God for those who live for Him. :th H.
