.p RSMARKABLE CURES. Mr. W. Q. Hipp, of Pomaria, Discovers a Remedy for Rheumatism and Proves Its Efficacy. Mr. W. Q. Hipp, of Pomaria I L Uffered very sevetely with rheu ittism for four years. About a onth ago he tried a very simple inedy, and today lie says he would t take many thousand& of dollars r the change which that simple 4 inedy wrought in his condition. This is not a medicine advertise ent. It is not desired to sell you anything. It is simply desired to puggest to those suffering with "rheumatism, and ever ybody knows ow very painful such suffering is, a simple reinedy which may help hem. Mr. Hipp ould not walk up Lirs, so sorely was he afllicted. 1,He gave the remedy to Mrs. D. A. Ruff, who suffered with rheuma tism and the saine remarkable cure was wrought in her case. He gave it to an old negro woman who could not raise her right arm, and that woman today handles her arn as freely as she ever did. The remedy is very simple. It is as follows: Gasoline, i quart. Camphor, 2 bars. Mix and rub parts affected. Mr. lipp advises those suffering with rheumatism to try it. He does not guarantee a cure, but the experiences given above are true. INTERESTING LETTERS. The Editor of the Abbeville Press and Banner Ver. Pleasantly Remembers Judge aii Mrs. Crosson. The following is taken from the Abbeville Press and Banner: "Judge James M. Crosson, now of \voodvilie, Texas, but formerly of Newberry, this St. te, is writing interesting letters to the Newberrv Herald and News, giving his recol lect ions of Newberry before the war, when lie was a younger man than lie is today, and when .the genera tion lived and flourished on the Bush River. "The Judge now was a Colonel in the forier days, and no man in Newberry county stood higher with the people. Whenever lie offere<. himself as a candidate fo. office they manifested their love fui him and showed their coifidenc.e in his ability to serve theml. He was for years editor of one of the county papers, and no man of his day ever caine nearer filling the requirements of the timle. "'We are not surprised that the people of Texas recognmizedl a good man when they saw 'lim. A bet ter wvoman than is. Crosson never lived in Newherry. H-er ability andc her womuanly graces made her the noblest of the qiueenis of New berry households, and( in her ouit ward life~ she was among the best to be met on the King's highway. ''Away back in the fifties the Crosson family consisted of several little ones, among the nunnher were Master O'Neall and Miss B3ettie. The names of the younger children I do not remember. The Judge ought to write all about his clil dren. Miss Bettie and Master O'Neill, I presume, have long since gonie out from thle home nest. I wams glad to note recenitly that Mrs. Crossoni was still livinig. They Iit1t 11ow hei Efr on the war t() (11r scor." Judger andm NTIs. Cmoss;on leClntly celebrated thiir g;olden weddinmg.
