"On the evening of the 30th of July at twilight she was sitting in her father's house against a partition over which a stove pipe communicated with a chimney during a thunder storn), singing with her sister, Mrs. Lathrop, as was her custom, the plaintive ballad 'Good Bye.' each bearing a separate part A ? The fatal shaft entered the chimney, followed the stove-pipe to the stove, and then down the partition against which the deceased wa? sitting, and exploded just over her head. The room was filled with a sudden blaze of light, a thundering crash, followed by a piercing scream was heard, and Miss Mooere, who but a moment } efore was m perfect health, now enveloped in flames, lay upon the floor insensible, and apparently dead. Immediately, and before the death-light had i left the room, her distracted parents were by her side, the flames were extinguished, water was showered upon her and other remedies used, but no signs of life appeared. Her mother, with mueh presence cf mind, breathed in tu>r month, throwing s volnme of air into her lungs, which wm repeated again and again by her father, until by extraordinary efforts a slight response was observed, a contraction of the #lips, a quiver of the chin, following by a partial respiration until she was so far restored to oonciousness as to regain her sight, to speak, to know her friends around her and appreciate their efforts to alleviate her sufferjugs, but not to fully understand the cause of her distressed condition, and although her Bufferings internally were intense she was not heard to complain. So many blessed senses having been restored to her it very naturally "aised in the minds of her afflicted parents and Y ' riends-irnnnd her hopes other ultimate recovery wlrirh for a while were fondly cherished, but lho-<? hopes were illusive. About twenty hours after the fatal shaft struck her she gradually sunk away, easy and apparently unconcious of what was passing around her for some hoars before she died, until abont 3 o'clock on Tuesday morning, Band Leather and Gin Bristles To be found at WORKMAN & BOONE'S, Aug. 20.
