A gentleman in the South of Europe, and Palestine, in 1939 hear. I stomach said in the latter place in favor of Jew David's Plaster, and of the (as he considered.) miraculous Cures it had performed, that lie was induced to try it on his own person, for a Liver affection, the removal of which had been the chief object of his journey, hut which had resisted the genial influence of tiiut balmy and delicious clime. A common consequence of this afleotion is a hind of tenesmus, or bearing down sensa'inn, as it is familiarly called; there is also heal, tension and throbbing in the part, varying from a moderate degree of these seushtioris to the most excruciating siiflorinjr;?t hese are caused by the flow of blood to tliC parts. Sometimes the inner coat of the bowel protrudes at every evacuation forming what is culled Prolapsus, or falling of the bowels; this is the effect of long continued irritation of that organ. In some instances the patient experiences nervous pains, which are indescribable, and known only to the suflerer, which commence immediately after an evacuation, and continue from thirty minutes to several hours; these sensations arc very annoying and sometimes very distressing. This disease, when of long continuance,is attended by pain and weakness in the hack, irritation of the kidneys, bladder, and other organs in the vicinity, pain and numbness in the legs and feet, a sense of straitness about the client, and unnatural fulness of the abdominal viscera, accompanied with palpitation of the heart and oppression. Individuals sometime* experience, previous to ait attack of the Piles, si mptnms denoting great dein ili.-ir circulation: there is a sense of weight and pressure in the abdomen, with i peculiar feeling of uneasiness in the bowels, const ination or perinsieum, attended with pain in the bark and loins nausea, and slight pains in the stomach, pale countenance, confused sensations in the head, weariness, and irritable and discontented state of mind, and a sense of fulness and oppression in the region of the stomach. June 14. J. R. McKAlN. A PLANTATION FOR SALE, In Madison County, Mississippi. A plantation containing 1040 of the very best creek bottom and up-land is offered for sale on the most liberal terms. From 550 to 600 acres are in cultivation, of which nearly one half is creek bottom well ditched and drained; the up-land in cuK tivation is circled. The most of it is perfectly fresh; but little if it having been cultivated nioi-e than from one to four years.
