Thi* youth who lived at Curuts Jiesene, on the the channel of Constantinople, had, at an unfortunate moment, gone o ver to the Mahometan religion, but soon repented of this step> and re turned into the pale of the old Greek Church. He was summoned be fore the Grand Vizier, who upbrai ded him with religious perjury.? On4ii*- replying he bom a Christian, and resolved so to die, he was conducted to the Istambol Effendi, (Judge of Constantinople) to be again instructed by him in the Mahometan religion; but he de clined, and even went so far as to advise the judge to turn Christian himself; he was, upon this, behead ed on the 1 ith of May. As these Robberies have lately been car ried on to an alarming extent in Camden, it behoves all g? od citizens to be vigilant in discovering something that might lead to a discovery of the vidians who thus dep redate upon the industry oi the honest pari of the community.
