A colored delegato in the South Carolina Convention, says tho New York Times, has offered n resolution declaring that Congress has not passed any confiscation bill, and probably never will, and the only way to prooure land is to buy and pay for it. That is sensible and creditable. The fact that it was left for a colored delegate to propose auch n declara? tion, and that oue was found able and willing to do it, shows that all the dangers to the governments of tho Southern States are not likely to come from the colored portion of their population. END OF .TUE YUCATAN REBELLION. ' Cuba cabio telegrums convey the in? telligence that the rebellion in Yucatan, gotten up under the aus? pices of Santa Anna, hod been broken by the national forces under General Alatorre. Tho rebel forces attempted to resist his advance on Merida, at a pluce called Muxcanu, but were defeated, their leader killed, and tho rebel Governor forced to hastily quit the capital. A good suggestion is that of tho Sou'Iiern Cultivator, that our farmers should plant a portion of their fields .with early Northern corn. Ripening two or three months beforo South? ern varieties in present field use, it would enable UH to havo food for man and boast so much sooner. LEMONS ! LEMONS ! ! ARGE FLORIDA LEMONS, at ?
