A fair trial, however email, is respectfully solicited. J. H. EN8LOW & CO., Charleston, S. O. Read the following testimonials: At Home, near Marietta, Qa., Oct. 16. A. J. Roberts & Co., Atlanta, Ga. Gentlemen: I am weU pleaded with the result of the use of the "Double Refined Pondre t tc" on my crops. I tried it on both corn and cotton, and am satisfied wherever it was applied the yield was moro than double what it would nave been without it. I regret exceedingly my not using it more extensively tho preaept year, bot will try to make up my loss by purchasing a larger quantity next spring. I regard it as the ohoapest, most reliable, and easiest man? aged fertilizer within my knowledge, and cheerfully recommend it fas I have tried it thoroughly) to the farmers of this seotion, and particularly to those planting cotton, from the fact of ita causing 'it to mature from ten days to two weeks earlier than it would without tho use of the Poudrette. I also used it on my garden, and found it of much benefit to all kinds of plants. Very respectfully, &c. G. S. OGLESBY. Extract from a lotter received from Prof. Martin, of Hampden. Sidney College, Va., dated July 1,1867: The Double Refined Poudrette ia operat? ing like a charm on my crop, and attract? ing universal attention from all beholders. I am already satisfied that it is the cheap- ; est and surest renovator of our worn-out : lands. - J High Shoals, Qa., October 4, 1867. James R. Dey, Esq. Sir: The Double Refined Poudrotte I bought for two other parties in connection with myself-ono of them used it on cotton and corn, and thinks it answered finely, | tho other put it on cotton, on very poor ground, and thinks it doubled his crop. I , used it on corn. It answered finely, and wau thought by the band that cultivated the crop to be fully equal to Rhode's Super I Phosphate. I also used it on about an acre of cotton, and I am clearly of opinion 1 that it is the best and cheapest fertilizer in use, and I expect to order several tons this winter. Yours, very respectfully, ISAAC POWELL. Ellaville, Schley Co., Ga., Oct. 4, 1867. The Double Refined Poudrette, pur? chased of you last spring, I think, in? creased my crop of cotton 150 pounds per aero; put it upon worn-out pine land, at tho rate of 200 pounds per acre, drilled in with cotton seed. Yours, kc, S. MONTGOMERY. Salisbury, JV. C., August 10, 1867. James R. Dey, Esq. Dear Sir: I can safely say tba*-your Double Refined Poudretto is far superior to any other fertilizer for cotton; for I have given it a fair trial this season. Yours, JEHU FOSTER, JB. Savannah, Ga., September 25, 1867. James R. Dey, Esq., President. I Dear Sir: I used tho Double Refined Poudrette, bought of you last spring, on corn. I think it increased tho yield one half. I consider it an excellent manure. Respectfully, T. HOLCOMBE. Ridgeway, S. C., September 21, 1867. Mr. James R. Dey. Sir: I applied the Doublo Refined Pou? drette by itself, and in combination with other fertilizers, on cotton, and am pleased with it; so much BO that lt ia my present intention to purchase a larger supply ot you the next year to apply to my cotton crop. Yours verv respectfully, HENRY 0. DAVIS. Rooky Mount, Edgecomb Co., N. C. Nov 13. James R. Dey. Esq. Sir: In reply to your inquiry of the re? sults of our oxperionce in the uso of your improved Poudrette-pUf?llfcs?dul you ?or this year's cotton crop-we would beg leave to say that the present season has been one quite unfavorable to the action of all fertilizers. Several kinds of manures were used by us, with tho exception of your Poudrette, with little or no effect to tho crop. Wliero tho Poudretto was used, it gavo ns near half a bale more por aere, and c.Hised the cotton to open much earlior; and wo-'would, therefore, recommend tho same as a concentrated manure for the growth of cotton, as well as improvement to the soil.
