A bridge across Six-and-Twenty creek on the new road running from the Pendleton road four miles above this place to Pass more'a bridge on the Thrce-and-Twenty, is very much needed. Tho road is traveled a great deal, and a good bridge across the stream mentioned would be a great conven ience to a large section of the county. It could bc built, wo aro told, for one hundred and fifty or two hundred dollars. Every far uer should give due attention to his garden. Manure well, work well and 't will pay far better than anything else for the same outlay. Southern people generally pny too little attention to their gardens, and depend too much on bread and meat. Entirely too much bacon is eonsumed by our people, particularly dur ln8 the spring and summer months. It is unwholesome and instead of strengthening ho system it weakens it.
