Heretofore many >f the insurance companies have been iceepting dwellings?insuring them? vhere bricks in the stove flue were set on edge and also where tile flues ivere used, without extra charge. Or November 10, 1910, a rule was promulgated which provides that in future he rate on all buildings, including Iwellings, where there is any othei :han a standard flue or flues, there shall he an additional charge of 2i ents on the $100 per year, which means 12.50 for each $1,000 insurance. Those ivho have no insurance and desire t< educe the chance of having theii juildings burned are advised, if they lave other than standard flues, to have :hem torn out and standardized immeliately and those who have insurance ind expect to continue to carry it, are ilso advised to have their flues standirdized in order to reduce their chance if being burned out and at the same ;ime keep their rate from being raisec ivhen their policies are renewed.
