Special Notices. ^ Card From Mayor Cole L. Blease. T<> tlio Democratic Voters of York County: I am deeply grateful for the magnificent vote which I received for Coventor in the first primary, and I take this method of expressing my thanks for those you gave me in your county. Leaving my home county of Newberry with a handsome majority, and leading all the other candidates in the surrounding counties of Lexington. Union. Saluda. Fairfield and Laurens - the latter county being the home of Hon. C. C. Featherstone, who is my opponent in the second race?my vote was general throughout tho State, without regard to geographical lines or to vocations in life. In seventeen of the forty-three counties, although there were six candidates before the people, 1 received more votes than any other candidate. Having led l?y several thousand votes in the first primary. 4 and with the new assurances of support which have come to me. I ant confidently expecting to be nominated for Governor in the second primary. I have sought to place my campaign upon a high plane, seeking the votes of the people only on my own merits. 0 If elected I will be the Governor of the whole people, without regard to section or class. I desire to warn the voters against eleventh hour rumors and false charges. T shall deeply appreciate the suffrages of the Democrats of York County in the second primary. Respectfully.
