on Sunday. "In the mountains, or at watering places you are constantly having to do thing's that make you tired; but on shipboard you do not A have to take any kind of physical exercise unless you want to. Of course, If you want to walk there is a promenade of 200 yards around the ship, and that ought to be sufficient for anybody; but If you would rather sit still and read, or smoke or play cards, or He in your state room and sleep, 4 you have your choice." And really I am finding it just that way. I have not had a formal Introduction to anybody since I came aboard. I find that if anybody, gentleman or lady, wants to speak to me, they Just do it. and If I desire to speak to anybody, I Immediately find what I feel is an old acquaintance that I have known all myl life. The officers never volunteer any thins; but just ask any one of them a question, or for any kind of a service and you immediately get what you want They not only answer your questions or attend to your wants; but they do it in a way that makes you feel that you are giving them a positive pleasure in making use of their 0, services. This is mailed Tuesday morning at about 6.30 o'clock. We are now off Sandy Hook. I think, or rather off Atlantic Highlands. Off Sandy Hook, July 27, 10 a. m.? ^ We are rounding Sandy Hook at the entrance of New York harbor and as we will be at the dock within about two hours, I will take the opportunity to write a few more lines descriptive of the windup of the trip. Last night at about 11 o'clock we saw a multitude 01 uguu! tuicau wiu passengers had varying notions as to what they meant. Some thought we were off Portsmouth, and others were certain it was Atlantic 'City, while still others were Just as positive that we were meeting a torpedo flotilla on its way south. It turned out that the lights were those of a lot of Ashing smacks. , We sighted Bamegat light off the coast of New Jersey at about 6 o'clock this morning, and since then have been passing a continuous line of cities, including Asbury Park. Ocean Grove, and other well known watering places. There is a countless multitude of boats in sight, of almost every description, big liners, freighters, sail boats, fishing smacks, etc., the water being literally alive with them. % W. D. 0. ? It surely must be a fact that there f are scores of men and women in this section who are not insured In the Mutual Benefit and should be. if they discharge their solemn obligations to their families, their estates or to provide for their own old age, (in case they are among the comparatively few who live to be old) who do not r fully understand that in carrying Mutual Benefit insurance policyholders do not spend the money used in keeping themselves protected as long as they need protection, but simply deposit it with an institution that is safer and stronger than any bank in! the world, and which guarantees to return the amount specified in the cash value of the contract whenever called for. The man who buys fire insurance or assessment life insurance, and has no fire or does not die while the insurance is in force, has spent his money for protection. Don't you think it would be wise for you to make a deposit with the Mutual BenIt^ efit? If you die during the time you are making deposits, or afterwards, 'f you so elect, the amount named in policy will be promptly paid as agreed in policy and if you ever reach the point where you need cash more than protection you will receive it on request. I am in position to furnish letters from policyholders living in all sections of the U. S., in which they assert that they have been members of the Mutual Benefit family all the way from 20 to 50 years and been protected in sums ranging from one A to twenty-five thousand dollars and could surrender their policies today for more cash than they have ever nAihina1 nf tho er\ 11 aepusiicu, n, cay ..wv.....,, ? ...v. 0... edge protection they have enjoyed for years.
