? Concord, N. C., Tribune: Several days ago the employes of the cotton oil mills of this city were very much annoyed by the development of a short ^ pircult on their electric power, and after turning on everything that was removable about the mills, they failed to discover the cause of the trouble. Saturday the matter gave the operators no a little concern. Mr. Womble, the man' ager. yesterday brought an expert electrician over from the Charlotte plant and had him to make an investigation. Late in the afternoon it was found that a good-sized rodent had plunged into a small hole near the wires and1 bad knocked a small washer from its adjustment and at the same time causing a short circuit by placing its tall over the wires. The animal was roasted and the tall entirely severed from the body. The small particles of the dead animal were removed . and today the Juice is coming with its accustomed force. AT THE CHURCHES.
