? Anderson enjoys the distinction ol being the only city in South Carolina that has a curfew law. Thirty dayf ago the city council requested the cit> attorney to draw up the ordinance and it was ratified by the council last night, and tonight was the first time for the curfew bell to ring. All boys ol 14 years and less must keep off the streets after 10 o'clock at night. The city and mill clocks are used as the curfew bells. AT THE CHURCHES. BAPTIST. rrv. t. a. mi'rrat, pjtmm. Suppose you should hear of one of your customers doing a thing like that and not knowing It, what would you say next time he wants discount? We'll venture half your men are doing that very thing without a suspicion. Men who paint any other paint than Devoe are paying 375 for 337.50 or some other such figure. 10 gallons of Devoe is enough for a good-size house two coats; 15 or 20 isn't too much of another paint. There's 38.75 or 317.50 for 5 or 10 extra gallons; besides 32 to 34 a gallon for putting it on; that's 310 to 340. ^ That's how half the houses stores factories warehouses shops barns and fences are painted: 350 for paint and labor; $25 to $50 more for not Knowing what paint to put-on. The one to put-on is the paint that takes least gallons and makes least - bills for paint and labor, tr Yours truly 40 P W DEVOE & CO P. S. J. J. Keller & Co. sell our paint. She Cotton ittarhet.
