? Will Harris, the notorious Mecklenburg criminal, who escaped from the North Carolina penitentiary something over two years ago. after having been sentenced to twenty-five years for burglary and larceny, has been recaptured in the coal mines at Pocahontas, West Virginia. When he first escaped from the penitentiary Harris returned to his old haunts In the vicinity of Charlotte and terrorized the country for quite awhile. It seems that there Is 110 doubt as to his identity, and the North Carolina nffifpra have eone to West Vlr ginla after him. AT THE CHURCHES. FIRST PRESBYTERIAN. rbv. e. e. gillespie, pastor.
