Wolff, city bacter iologtst, of hlB treatment for tne disease by Inoculating: sufferers from meningitis with diphtheria antitoxin, causing the diphtheria germs to attack the meningritis germs and drive them from the body. In speaking of his theory. Dr. Wolff says: "The meningitis epidemic broke out early in April of last year. We had been having a good deal of dlph^ theria last spring and winter and I had been making many of the usual tests for the bacillus of diphtheria. I had noticed when the meningitis epidemic was well under way that diphtheria almost entirely disappeared. Along about August 1, when the epidemic died out diphtheria again appeared. This led me to think that the ^ two diseases might war on each other and that the cure for meningitis might be found in the bacilli of diphtheria. Since then I have been carrying on experiments and have found my deduction quite well borne out." Dr. Wolff made public his discovery in December and one or two physicians have tried the treatment on meningitis sufferers since. Every family should have and wants a first-class Oil Stove. Up to the Introduction of the PERFECTION, the one great drawback and objection to oil stoves has been their propensity to smoke, caused by the "crawling" upward of the wicks. This imperfection is entirely overcome in the Perfection. It is so arranged that it is impossible for the wick to crawl and cannot possibly smoke. .Most oil stoves have been mussy things, hard to keep in order and clean. The Perfection is so compact and simple that it is as easy to keep clean as an ordinary lamp. Another advantage of the Perfection Oil Stove is that it can be used for a stove for ten minutes and in one minute more can be converted into an illuminating lamp for the reading table. The price is low, the stove is good, it makes a terrific heat in a few seconds and makes a beautiful clear light as a reading lamp. Come and let us show it to you. G. H. O'LEAF Y. MONEY TO LOAN.
