Aiken Visited by Burglars. The town of Aiken was visited by a -? gang of professional burglars during last Saturday night or Sunday morning. Among the residences visited were those of Messrs. F. B. Henderson, L. Bradwell, W. J. Piatt, and Dr. J. ?. Frampton Wyman. Nothing was known of the raid until Sunday morning, when it developed that the different residences had been robbed of money and jewelry in amounts and values running from $150 to $1,000. Investigation showed that the burglars ^ prospected several other residences without entering. This was evident from the tracks around the different houses. Most of the money and jewelry was stolen from bed rooms in which the owners were sleeping, and the circumstances indicated that in most cases the burglars must have had to remain in the rooms for quite a while. When the alarm was given next morning, bloodhounds were put on the trail of the burglars: but without result. The Aiken people are very much excited and also very uneasy. AT THE CHl/RCHES. SOLID business men everywhere look upon life Insurance as the one absolutely safe and sure means of building up an estate that will be certain to be available when needed, or providing for old age in case they are so fortunate as to live to be old. The wisest ones look before they leap and place the future of themselves and families with the Mutual Benefit. When the company entered South Carolina about fourteen years ago, one of the wealthiest and most successful business men of the State, who knew the company by reputation as being the best, applied for and secured a policy for $5,000. He carried It five years and was so thoroughly pleased with the contract and the careful economical manner the company was managed, as evidenced by the large annual dividends he received, that In 1895 he applied for and secured $10,000 more insurance, making $15,000 in all, which amount he carried until recently when he applied for and secured $35,000 more, making $50,000, the company's limit on one life. The name of this citizen will be furnished on application, and also proof that the Mutual Benefit is the best policy holder's com pany In business. SAM M. GRIST 8pecial Agent G.H. O'LJEAKY.
