Kirkpatrick was elected moderator, a distinct honor, which ho hore ably and Impartially. There was a large attendance, and at thc evening sessions the church was taxed to seat the audience. An automobile ride to Clemson College Thursday afternoon was a delightful feature ol' entertainment, and a short program was arranged hy the college officials for tho pleasure of the guests. Senora did herself proud in caring for the visitors. A number ol' homes in the country were opened to them also, and the social feature of the gathering was greatly accentuated t hereby. John Edwards and Francis Adams, of Camps Wadsworth and Jackson, spent Sunday with their homefolks. On Sunday a mass meeting of all the conn rosa lion s was held in tho Presbyterian church when the week's Y. M. C. A. campaign was In augurated. A line address was given hy a young Episcopal minister from longland, now Y. 'M. C. A. socrotary at Camp Sevlor, and abort talks were made hy Rev. ?. E. Wallace and Francis Adams. Mrs. Phillips possessed many Chris tian virtues, gentleness, kindness, love and a marked devotion to her children. She was a Staunch mem ber ol' the Baptist church and lived her religion through a lone,, useful life. She leaves two children. Miss Hallie Phillips and Mrs. Ernest Coch ran, and a brother, J. G. Harper, and Sister, Mrs. Jack Hopkins, and a large number of nieces and nephews, who mourn her death. The friends of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Jones are happy to know that they will movo to Seneca in tho near fu ture and will make this their boni'.. The Christian Endeavor Society will have a social meeting on Friday night at thc; manse.
