Joseph Stowe, from Concord, North Caro. lina intends to be in Newberry with his celerated Well bcriug implement in about eight or ten -days. I can bore a better well with my.augar than any other in tehe South ern States. My wells are twelve inches in diameter, and all other wells that I know of are only .eight inches in diameter. The bored wells need no 'recommendation, they are an established fact, having been in use in this part of North Carolina, and in some parts of South t%arolina, for twelve or fifteen years, and are still- gaining favor wherever they are introduced. I wiltgive a few of the advantages they have over the common dug well. First and most important, they will sup ply a more pure and better water than the common well, as they cut off all the surface water ; the water of a bored well has to en ter-at the bottom of the well an'd if there is pure- water you will~-get it,. as no surface water eau.entei- the well. The next advan tage thef~ have 'is i being less expensive than the common well, iz somne localities they are four or five times cheaper than the dommon welt; they are also superior to the eonnon well as they require no cleaning outas no Frog, Toad, Snake, or any other reptile can get into them; you ean keep th as igsa abarrel, and keep out all te traah and jilch which is liable to be blowisiig~b the iids and other causes, in th-fal ai winter season. There are seve ral -other advuitages-.hey possess over the Coinion well, but I 'will orily mention one iier, thef ara almost equal - to the best P1ing as-tie. water that is drau n out, Is al a's Tresh freei the bottom i&* the well.
