Rub}', Jan. 30.?Charged with killing his wife, Charlie P. Rushing, a well known farmer of this section, was taken to jail at Chesterfield today, following a coroner's jury verdict holding him responsible. Rushing was arrested Tuesday morning, after he had summoned a doctor to his home to attend Mrs. Rushing, who was found to he in a desperate condition Mrs. Rushing's wound?a bullet wound in the chest?proved fatal Tuesday morning and the arrest folio wed. The shooting, it appears, occurred M> iiday afternoon. Apparently Rushing was facing Rushing at tin time, as the bullet enter* d in tfc?breast and tore its way through her b< dy, finally lodging in the back. After the shooting Rushing left the house and did net reappear until Tuesday, when he summoned a physician to the horn p. T e doctor on his arrival found Mrs. Rushing dyiug.
