The stalk was 15 3t high and bore three large ears. \ Joe says that he has two acres at will average as good as the stalk ought to town; and an additional ?o acres, not quite as tall but just as ill eared. The corn grew on Dr. Joe's sand II place along the waters of North listo river, and hae neyer been fer ized. The corn, Dr. Joe says, is of e well known "Pat" Bickley variy?the kind that grows so tall that Pat" has to climb a step-ladder in der to reach the ears. Of course Pat's" grew on Broad river, while r.
