Dr. Julius D. Dreher, now consul in I Jamaica, brought home from the Society Islands, where he has beeD Unite 1 States consul for a number of years, a very rich collection of shells for the museum in Newberry college. The shells which have arrived are of every shape and size, including many beautiful specimens. Most of them were gathered ou Tuamotu Island, Colony of Tahiti, and Dr. Dreher exercis d splendid taste in his selections. There are about thirty different specimens.
