Robbins, who is a dog nan of some note, finally found where Davis went into a swamp to change lis stri ,es for his new and freshly acquired citizens' clothes. At the time VIr. Robbins ouly had three of the iloodhounds with him. One was an >ld trained dog; the other two were inly puppies?''Flashlight" and 'Chattier," which he has only had for a short while, getting them from :he Rockwood Kennels, of Lexington, ivy. The dogs struck the trail and olio wed it for several hours through iome as rough swamps as there are in Lexington county, trailing through ihe town of Barrs, and finally catching I>avis about two miles from Barr. Mr. Robbius claims this to be remarkable 011 account of it being sc .Iry and dusty and from the fact that Davis traveled both over ploughed ground and 011 the railroad track. Frames Made to Order. On Monday the county board of com- l missioned in 9ession decided to iet the contract for the building of a Steele bridge over the Saluda River. This step was decided after mature consideration, and the contract will be given out in due course of time. It will be recalled that the lesislature at its last session made provision for the construction of this bridge, making a special tax levy of one-half mill for this purpose.
