To the Editor of The Dispatch: Old March came like a lamb and went out like a sheep, 31 days older. Thus far April has acted very agreeably, save a little wind, some fire and a light sprinkle of frost. Some of our farmers are not ready to plant cotton }Tefc, while others are ready but waiting on rain, and some have planted. The health of the happy Felix family is not so good at thi9 writing, but somewhat better. A number of Gastonians and Swanseans enjoyed an outing recently with a picnic and fish-fry at the mm ot oui friend, W. A. Goodwin. Castello wa9 chief fisherman and all seem to have enjoyed the day. Mrs. R. G. Able and little ones, of Steedman, visited her sister, Mrs. J. V. Smith, last week. Mrs. Lessie J. Reister spent a few day9 in the capital city la9t week. Miss Alice, one of the seven pretty sisters, is off for a brief stay with her brother, E. O. Failaw, in Columbia. Mr. Editor, the dogwood i9 in blossom and the fish in Black creek are awaiting your hook and bait. The writer recently had the pleasure of enjoying a fish-fry and 9tew prepared by that expert culinary, Burt .Failaw7Levi Rish and Cash Failaw, two fishermen wTho can't be beat, not even oy Carrier Roof, went out on the creek ar.d in a short while had bagged over thirty, then the fry and stew aud such a picnic you never taw. Wish you could have been with us Mr. Editor. On Sunday, April the 3rd, there was a pretty marriage at the beautiful home of the bride's parents, Burt and Mrs. Failaw, when their daughter, Miss Edna Maye, was married to Edward Shull by Rev. J. C. Holly. After happy congratulations and a ser ?
