Stricklen gave a birthday dinner on the 16th. Jefcoat returned on Mon day from the Knowlton Infirmary in Columbia, where she underwent a successful operation. Mr. Louis J. Langford was at Swansea last Saturda}' shaking hands with the voters. Mr. Azariah Taylor, candidate for supervisor, was in this section recently in the interest of his candidacy, and seeking the release of a horse, j which was in the hands of the constables. Mr. Taylor had secured the horse fairly from a young farmer in this section, and we hope he will succeed in keeping the horse. - J.
