M.?The first intances of the execution of a woman i New Mexico will occur at Hills oro, Sierra county, on jericiay, june th, when Valentia Madril, an eduated Mexican woman, who adminis3red poison to her husband, and Lima Lyons, a young negress, a serant in the Madril family, who a9sistd in the crime will be hanged. Mrs. Madril is 19 years old, the neress is scarcely 20. Efforts are being lade to have executive clemency exmded the women, but it is not likely aat the governor will interfere. The crime for which the two women re to pay the penalty was a cold looded one. The^urder of Madril ra9 carefully planned according to ie statments of the two women beveen the wife, her paramour, Franisco Baca, and the negro servant. \ Madril, the murdered man, waspos3ssed of considerable property and 'as one of the stable citizens of ierra^eounty. Madril was much older lan his wife, and she soon began to re of him. Then Baca appeared on ie scene. He was young, of poweril build, rode a horse as only the hill Duntrymen of New Mexico can ride, ad he soon captivated the young ife.
