Tbe people of Sandy Run and Congaree townships have set an example in regard to road improvement that is worthy to be followed by the people of other communities. They have not only paid their commutation road tax without a murmer, but they have gone further. They have put their hands in their own pockets as it were and supplemented the amount given by the County Com missioners for the purpose of improving wbafc is known as the "State" road, tbe consequence is tbat that road has been thoroughly repaired and is now in excellent condition. Another interesting bill provides that milege tickets shall be used not alone by the purchaser but by the members of his or her family.
