He was married December 26tb, 1904. to Miss Ella Corley, to them were born two sons. He leaves a fond mother, an effectionate wife, two sons, three brothers, six sisters, with many relatives to mourn his untimely departure. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was consistent to the end. A fiDe young man has left us, but our loss, we trust, is his gain. He was buned in the family cemetery near New Brookland J. A C. John Walton Meetzedied February 19:h, 1904, aged 22 years and 9 months. He was married October 24th, 1898, to Miss Efsie Lirick, who with one eon, his mother, three brothers and two sisters survive him. May God bless and comfort these sorely bereaved ones. The sheriff of Lexington is making an effort to apprehend the murderers of John Meetze and it is under stood that five arrests have been made, all of them being negroes. The negro woman, Minnie Wise, who was also shot, has been piscsd under arrest as an accessory to the crime, but her condition is such that at present she cannot be moved from Brookland as seme of the shot have not been taken out of her bod7 yet.
