Sloan, cf Columbia, the popular candidate for Lieutenant Governor was here on senatorial day among his many friends and came in to see us. Col. Sloan is a man of achievements and high character. From the favorable comments we see from our exchanges throughout the State, he is making a splendid race, and we believe he will be elected. Our people should give him a good vote as we are in the same Congressional and Judicial districts. Lexington and Richland counties are closely allied together, and our vote should be for Col. Holley and wife, of Pelion, are visiting relatives and friends in this section. Mr. J. W. Shealy, one of our progressive farmers, ha9 treated himself to a new organ.
