All the blood in your body passes through your kidneys once every three minutes. The kidneys are your blood purifiers, they fil ter out the waste or impurities in the blood. If they are sick or out of order, they fail to do their work. Pains, aches and rheu matism come from ex cess of uric acid in the blood, due to neglected kidney trouble. Kidney trouble causes quick or unsteady heart beats, and makes one feel as though they had heart trouble, because the heart is over-working in pumping thick, kidney poisoned blood through veins and arteries. It used to be considered that only urinary troubles were to be traced to the kidneys, but now modern science proves that nearly all constitutional diseases have their begin ning in kidney, uouble. i If you are sich you can make no mistake - by first doctorinc your kidneys. Thc Masquerade Porty. The greatest event iu the social life of the students of the S, C. C. I. is the annual masquerade par ty, which was held at the college on Friday evening last. Everybody was-costumed and masked for the occasion, no one being admitted whose indencity was not concealed. Even room-mates could not recog nize each other. Col. Batley, Mrs. Bailey and the entire faculty were masked from head to foot and passed off as the youngest of the boys and girls. The city dude with cane, kid gloves and silk ha*, the coach-mau, the policenan, the monk, the ''Chinee", the clown, the tramp, the gentleman, the milk-maid, the grandmother with powderd hair, the maid-of-all-work, the gay belle cf society, the pretty las3 with flowing hair and golden curls, and others too uumerous to mention were represented, all clad in multicolored, nou-descript cos tumes. This.agglomeration of the sublime and the rediculous, the grave and the gay, made of the large auditorium a veritable mys tic maze. The climax was reached when each boy cho?e a partuer, not kuowing who she was, and march ed upon the rostrum and unmask ed. After "Bingo" aud other favor ite pastimes of the students were played, all repaired to the dining hall where the "pounds" had been' spread upon the tables. The even ing was one of great pleasure and enjoyment, and Col. Bailey is to be commended for providing these oases to break the monotony of rccttinw school life. Next on the tapis will be the May picnic.^ Feed pale girls on Scott's Emulsion. We do not need to give all the reasons why Scott's Emulsion restores the strength and flesh and color of good health to those who suffer from sick blood. The fact that it is the best preparation of Cod Liver Oil, rich in nutrition, full of healthy stimulation is a suggestion as to why it does what it does. Scott's Emulsion presents Cod Liver Oil at its best, fullest in strength, least in taste. Young women in their " teens " are permanently cured of the peculiar disease of the blood which shows itself in paleness, wea kness and nervous ness, by regular treatment with Scott's Emulsion. It is a true blood food and is naturally adapted to the cure of the blood sickness from which so many young women suffer. We will be glad to send a sample to any sufferer.
