MISS QUARLES TO MARRY An engagement in which Abbeville people are interested is that of miss Nannis Quarles to Mr. Thos. Henry Johnston, Jr., of Nashville, Tenn., announced in Spartanburg this week. The wedding will take place in January. Miss Quarles is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Quarles and as a little girl has visited relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Quarles are making their home in Spartanburg. MRS WENDEL MARRIES Mrs. Mamie Wardlaw Wendel, of Oxford, Mis3., and Mr. Robert Sharp, of Granada, Miss., were quietly married last Wednesday at 3:30, at the Wardlaw home in Oxford. After! the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Sharp left for Memphis where they will spend sometime before returning to! Grenada. As Mrs. Wendel, Mrs. Sharp is well known to the people of Abbeville. She is a sister of Mrs. Bradley Reese and has visited here often. Her father was a member of the Wardlaw family of Abbeville.
