MISS BROWN IS HOSTESS Miss Janice Brown entertained very pleasantly yesterday morning honoring her guest, Miss Mary Greene, of Abbeville, S. C. Tables were arranged for bridge and rook in the rooms, which were prettily decorated with quantities of bright colored mid-summer flowers. The high score bridge prize was won by Miss Sanford Thomas, and was a bridge set; the rook prize, dainty handkerchiefs, was won by Miss Cor nelia Gartland; and Miss Greene was given a pretty vanity. The sewing club of Westview school held its monthly meeting Wed nesday, July 12th. The society was called to order by the president and the minutes were read and roll called by the secretary. A demonstration in hat making was given by the Home Demonstration agent, Mrs. Gibbons. | The hat made at the meeting was ol i brown straw and pink organdie. The straw brim was cut into a polk shape and bound with the organdie. The ! crown was made of organdie with a I lining of the same material.
