Greenville, July 6j?Announce ment was made this afternoon by Dr. W. J. McGlothlin, president of Furman University, that he had decided to decline the offer of the presidency of William Jewell Col lege at Liberty, Mo., and would remain at the head of Furman Uni versity. The offer from the Mis souri institution was received by Dr. McGlothlin several weeks ago and has been under careful consid eration since that time. Formal announcement of his decision to remain at Furman was made ,by Dr. McGlothlin :n a let ter to John A.
