Carbery of Union has resigned to become assistanti agronomist in charge of plant breeding, with headquarters at Clemson I mmmmmmmammmmmm College. Besides his experience as :Gi;nty r.^ont Mr. Carbery has had unusual opportunities in plant breeding work with the Department of Agriculture in Washington and in his horticultural work in connection ivith mill village development. He takes the place of Mr. E. E. Hall, who resigned Aprilu 1st to become a member of the Carolina Seed Company at Florence, which will make a speciality of growing and selling disease-free and disease-resistent seeds and plants. J. D. Brandon has been appointed county agent for Bamburg County succeeding George R. Briggs.w ho resigned January 1st and who was recently appointed County Agent for Oconee County. Brandon is a graduate of Clemson College and has had several years experience as county agent in the boll weevil territory of Georgia. He began work April 1st with headquarters at Bamburg. S. F. Reid was at one time a county agent and for several years since then has been engaged in general farming in Calhoun County. He began work April 1st with headquarters at St. Matthews. W. D.
