Mr. Boyce Wideman was on our streets Sunday, looking at the new street paving and otherwise going back on his Seceder training. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jenkins have rented half the house now occupied by Mr.^Hipp and have gone to house, keeping. Mr. Jenkins is here in connection with the street paving work. > Mr. and Mrs. Swan are in Abbeville selling the wrough iron ranges. They have rooms with Mrs. Elbert White and are boarding with Mrs. Rogers. I Mrs. M. T. Coleman went up to| Pelzer Saturday and spent over Sunday with Mrs. Town send Smith. She also went to Clemson to see Jim Coleman, who is a first year cadet. ,t Oratory and Possum. The Greenwood T. P. A. gave itself and its friends a possum supper last Friday night which was a suc cess. Rev. Louis J. His talk was interesting. Mrs. Coleman made a report on the "Society week," telling that when the money is all reported something over five hundred dollars will have been raised for the Hospital. , Miss Mary jl?ou uowie maae an interesting talk on and demonstrated the use of a steam pressure cooker. Her talk held the attention of the housekeepers present and the rcfast and potatoes cooked were enjoyed by all. The, question of a rest room for the city was discussed but no definite action was taken. , The club is prospering and has entered energetically into the? work of helping with the hospital, erecting the marker on the triangle and the general beautifying of the town.
