I LANCASTER FREED I BY JURY'S VERDICT V V Columbia, Sept. 20.? A. vcrdict of V "not guilty" was re'.urned shortly ^ after midnight by the jury in the acse of Eugene M. Lancaster, mot.ercjcio policeman of who Columbia poon trial for the murder of W~~ ~ DU his wife, Mrs. Allie B. Lancaster. The killing occurred on May 28, of ^ this year, at which time Lancaster ^ also shot to death Newton S. Lorick, his wife's companion in an automobile. Lancaster is still to face trial . tiv for the killing of Lorick, but this case will not come up at the present terms of court. 301 Though locked up for the night, 'as about 10:30 o'clock, the jury let it be known about 11:30 that a verdict had been reached, and officials of a c the court returned to receive it.
