There are 535 acres in this property. Mr. Joe L. Marwell, who has been here on a visit to relatives, returned v to his home in Augusta "Wednesday. Little Mary Frances Maxwell went home with him and will spend a while there. . ; WOMEN IN THE CHURCH. Abbeville is well represented at the meeting of the Presbyterial at Ninety Six this week, Mrs. A. B. Morse, Mrs. T. M. Miller, Mrs. W. P. Wham, Mrs*. Bramlett, Miss Mary Lawson Link, and Miss Louise Brown being in attendance. Mrs. Morse will lead in one of the meetings. MRS. EVERETT ENTERTAINS Mrs. Joe W. Everett, who came down from Spartanburg to be a guest at the Thomson-Little marriage, entertained in honor of the bride at the home of Mrs. W. D. Wilson Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Twenty-four guests gathered to do honor to the bride and to enjoy the lively games of rook. The v house decorations were beautiful, the parlors being a mass of white American Beauty roses, snowballs and peonies, while in the dining room tfce flowers were white and blue flags fin ? * 14 and Paul Neron roses, thus forming the patriotic colors. ? The marriage of Miss Antoinette Thomson and Mr. Joe Little, which was solemnized at the Presbyteran church Wednesday afternoon at five o'clock, was an interesting event to ' J_ tne many menus ui me yuuug tuuple. At the appointed hour the church was filled to overflowing with a happy throng who came to witness the event nad express their good 1 wishes for the happy bride. ! The Presbyterian church lends iti self easily- to decorations and for this wedding the railing of the choir loft was daintily draped in white andi twined with ivy and outlined with a; mass of white snowballs. The pulpit J I was a bank of ferns and palms with; i several handsome brass urns and( ijardiniers of white roses. White' pedestals were placed in front of the j i altar and these were twined with; j green, two large brass jardinieres | filled with white carnations making I a beautiful top finish. OF As the guests gathered Miss Mar; garet Burton presided at the organ i and played many beautiful selec- Fi| ' tions.
